April-September Command Chronology

Religious Ministries     In April, The Religious Ministries Team (RMT) supported Easter services for Marines at Camp Wilson for ITX. RPSN Marrero assisted Corpsman from H&S Battalion Aid Station (BAS) with a TCCC class to allow marines to be qualified for future training events. Chaplain Salomon also completed TCCC. Chaplain Salomon supported a change of command ceremony for Charlie Company. Chaplain Salomon also organized a SNCO and Officer PME with Soul Survivor Outdoor, The Warrior’s Journey and Mighty Oaks. Chaplain Salomon supported a Marathon target range with Charlie Company Scouts.     In May, The RMT supported the battalion MWX by providing religious ministries to marines and sailors. Chaplain Salomon provided an invocation for the change of command ceremony held for H&S Company. HM1 Aceves Retirement Invocation 11/21/21

Gracious Father and our Faithful friend, We ask that you bless HM1 Steven Aceves and his family as they hear and witness the influence he has had on the lives of Devil Docs, Sailors, and Marines both here and all across the world. Allow this to be a time to recount the patriotism, perseverance, and personal courage of both HM1 Aceves and his family. Help us to recognize the sacrifices this family has made to keep our country safe as well as celebrate the victories they have had in the investments and legacy they have left on the people you have placed in their care. As this family prepares for the next adventure of life after the military give them confidence in your Provision as you meet their needs and continue to show your Faithfulness to the Aceves family. Father God, Thank you for giving us the opportunity to thank HM1 Aceves and Jessica for their service to our country. As we leave this place let the bonds of friendship and love continue to encourage and remind the Aceves family of Your past faithfulness so that they have confidence that You will continue to provide for every need. Give Jessica, Stella, and Claire your grace to support Steve as he reorients his energy and time into new endeavors. Bless this family as we wish them fair winds and following seas. Smooth transition Safe travels for people coming out Our loving Heavenly Father, we gather to celebrate and honor the faithful service of GySgt Rojas and the selfless sacrifice of his family. Our hearts are touched as we recount the leadership, mentoring and friendship GySgt Rojas has shown to the Marines of this battallion and the countless lives he has influenced throughout the Corps. We ask that you would supply him with the same tenacity and grit he has shown in the military to his new life in Maine. Father God, our Mighty Warrior, shield and strength we praise you for bringing these students through their course safely. Thank you for giving these Marines the moral courage and intestinal fortitude to persevere through this grueling course of the body and the mind. We ask that as they take the knowledge and experience they've gained to their units you would supply them with your wisdom and strength for You are the One who trains our hands for war and fingers for battle. Help these young leaders inspire and fan into flame the Warrior spirit that will lead our Marines into the baptism of combat and emerge victorious over every enemy both abroad and on the Home front. O Lord our God. Our Father and Creator, we ask that You would bless the food which we are to partake and the camaraderie that is shared by the Marines of this shop. We ask that as we celebrate the successes of these Marines that we also remember the unwavering commitment to the ideals and values that have made our nation the land of the free and the home of the brave. We pause to pay homage to the forebearers of this cloth the men and women whose blood and sweat guarded the liberty we enjoy today. We also remember our comrades deployed on foreign soil standing ready to keep our country's enemies at bay. Finally we beg you to keep the Marines of S6 safe as they enjoy this night of fellowship in the company of the few who are proud to be called Marines. HM1 Catindig retirement prayer

Almighty Father, Creator of the heavens and lord of the deep. We Gather to honor the leadership and friendship of the Warrior who all know as "HM1 Cat" We recount the courage he has shown in defense of our nation through multiple combat tours. The duty and sacrifice he and his family have endured as he has trained and developed countless corpmen and Marines. As he has acquitted himself with honor, we take this time to honor him for his self-less service and loyalty. We ask that as he begins a new chapter in life that you would grant him the wisdom, patience and strength to serve his wife, Arlene. To equip his children to be young adults that will carry his legacy and bear the name Catindig proudly wherever it is they go. Finally we remember and thank you for the sacrifices his family have shown in the service and defense of our nation. Let us pray. Holy and Awesome God we give thanks for the opportunity you give us to recognize the Marines who stand before us who represent the best and brightest of our nation. We ask that you grant these young leaders the  moral courage and fortitude to be leaders. Supply them with your wisdom and strength to carry out the orders of those appointed over them. Grant them discernment to know when and how to speak truth to their supervisors. Give them hearts of compassion that will advocate for those in their care. Finally Lord, we aks that you challenge the senior leaders of these Marines to invest their time into these Marines. Help those who have stood the watch equip them with the tools and experience they need to keep our nation and Corps strong. Help us teach them to truly be always faithful. In Jesus name we pray Amen. Almighty Father our Rock and redeemer We celebrate the investment of experience and time into our nation's most precious resource, the young men and women who proudly bear the title of Marine. We ask that in the coming days You provide opportunities for these young leaders to demonstrate the skills and character consistent with their forebearers, Marines such as Lance Cpl Repphun and Cpl Galavez. We ask that you prepare these Marines to demonstrate the Corpa values whether in or out of uniform and that they be excellent both in the profession of arms and as American Citizens. Finally we thank you for providing the instructors for this course and ask that you bless them as they endeavor to safeguard the nation as they prepare the future generation to be a beacon of hope to the oppressed and a shield to protect the life, liberty and pursuit of happiness that You grant to all men to enjoy. 246th Marine Corps Birthday Prayer

Holy God, our stalwart defender, our Shield and Mighty Right Arm. We come before you to give thanks for Your Faithfulness. Thank you for equipping the men and women of generations past to rise up and answer our nation's call. Thank you for giving them the strength and moral courage to protect both our freedom and the liberty of the oppressed. As we take part in the traditions of the past help us remember that freedom is always one generation from expiration. Help us recall the sacrifice of those who paid the ultimate price for freedom. Wolfpack brethren such as Cpl Philip Baucus and PFC Jason Hanson. Young men who answered Liberty's call and safeguarded the freedom we enjoy today. Heavenly Father, as we gather to celebrate the courage and commitment of Hospital Corpsmen Dustin Burnett and the many sons of Arizona who have acquitted themselves, their profession, and families with honor we ask that You, our Great Healer dwell on these hallowed grounds. Mighty God and our great Physician, we beseech Thee to grant wisdom to those who speak. Fill their words with the power to heal the wounds of death and to inspire the pursuit of life and the values that these fallen heroes embody. While time may never soothe the sting of death, we ask that You, our God of peace, allow the words spoken here to be a salve to this community and the countless hearts that have been touched by the men whose names are engraved on this sacred site. Benediction Bullhead City Memorial

Jehovah Shalom, our God of peace, as we depart from this hallowed place, lighten the burden of grief and impart Your joy in our hearts as we celebrate the legacy of Dustin and the group of men memorialized today known as "Doc." This special breed of men who have pledged their lives to the care of the sick and injured and encapsulate the love of which there is none greater by laying down their life for those in their care. Grant fair winds and following seas to those who have traveled here to partake in this special day. While we spend the rest of the day celebrating our Veterans, help us to encourage those who have worn our nation's cloth and borne the burdens of war find healing and purpose in the company of their comrades. Finally Lord, let this memorial and eternal flame burn as a beacon of freedom spurring generations to come to answer the call to defend the inalienable rights which You have given to all men.
